Debra Zahay has always led the way in data-driven digital marketing strategy. She is a "bleeding edge" researcher, teacher and consultant in the digital and interactive space. Her areas of expertise include Data-Driven Digital Marketing, Internet Marketing and Education, Social Media Marketing, Data Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Building Customer Databases and Data Quality and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). She is a Digital Marketing Professor and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Research in Interactive Marketing.

As Professor of Digital Marketing, she teaches all aspects of data-driven digital and social marketing, including database marketing, data mining, SEO/SEM and social media marketing. She is a co-author of the leading Internet Marketing text, Roberts and Zahay, Internet Marketing: Integrating Online and Offline Strategies.

Dr. Debra Zahay holds her Doctorate in Marketing from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, her Master of Management from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinios, her Juris Doctor from Loyola University in Chicago and her undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Zahay researches how firms can facilitate customer relationships, particularly using customer information.

Some current and recent research topics include customer information management for competitive advantage, customer data quality, information use in new product development and crowd-sourcing, data warehousing in CRM environments, email personalization. Some of the journals in which she has published include Decision Sciences, Journal of Marketing Analytics, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Journal of Advertising Research, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, Journal of Interactive Marketing, Journal of Database Marketing, and in the working paper series for the Marketing Science Institute. She has presented her work at many academic and practitioner conferences. Full-time teaching experiences include Northern Illinois University, North Carolina State University and DePaul University.
